Bordered by the grass and trees of the Downtown City Park, this laid-back section of East Main has a charm all its own. Breathe Deep The first thing you’ll notice is the relaxed pace. Unlike other parts of East Main, the south end has stores on only one side, so there’s not quite the hustle and bustle. Parking is plentiful both in front of the shops and on both sides of the park. Whether it’s the covered openair gazebo or a cozy picnic table under the trees, there are plenty of cool-and-shady places to relax. Where the fun is Of course, the best part may just be the fun, friendly and sometimes funky “Shoppes at the Park.” Where else can you take an electric bike for a ride around a test track? Or buy your pooch a frozen treat? Add to that “shoppes” specializing in comic books, beads, outdoor gear, boutique fashions and tons of antiques, and you’ll see why a stroll to the south end of Main is not to be missed!
