BIZZ BUZZ By Alaina Loughridge - Photos by Wen McNally LATITUDE 32 In 2004, Tybee Island hooked in another soul. Traveling just to get away from a high powered job on Capitol Hill, Jennifer Drazek had visited Savannah a couple of times. One day she headed to the beach. End game. She went home and told her husband, Keith, that they were moving. Keith was highly skeptical. What is this Tybee Island thing and why has my wife lost her mind? Less than one year later, the Drazek’s arrived and it was meant to be. Naturally, having a beach house means that every single relative you have ever even kind of acknowledged is now your best buddy. After several visits, one relative mentioned opening a shop that sells unique Tybee items that are not just available everywhere. Jen rented a booth one Pirate’s Fest and the rest is Latitude 32! 4 TYBEE BEACHCOMBER | OCT 2016 Seizing an opportunity to rent a shop at Tybee Oaks, Jen opened with a small shop offering quality clothing and unique Tybee only items. Bizz boomed and Jen got a bigger shop ... then a bigger shop. It truly was meant to be. Latitude 32 offers many Tybee items you will find in no other shop on the island. Local pottery, beach cover ups, hoodies, hats, children’s clothing, laser engraved items, marble coasters and magnets, soy candles, and did I mention all of their clothing is cotton and locally screen printed and embroidered? They also offer shipping and online orders as well. For those of you too busy to get out, go to www.latitude32.us. Easy as that!
