Photography by Gram “Raise You Up” Gala Ruth Eckerd Hall’s 11th Annual Gala Celebration, “Raise You Up,” was an evening of cocktails in the Grand Concourse, a seated dinner by Cafe Ponte, and dancing on stage, plus bidding on silent and live auction items. The black-tie and kinky-boots-optional benefit’s theme was inspired by Broadway’s hit musical Kinky Boots, which is scheduled to be at the Hall in Clearwater in April, 2017. Proceeds from the Gala will provide the critical funding needed to sustain Ruth Eckerd Hall’s arts education programs. 166 TAMPA BAY MAGAZINE | NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2016 Ruth Eckerd Hall board member David Abelson, his wife Jeanie, and their son Adam co-chaired and helped sponsor this 11th Annual Gala Celebration. Gary and Amy Connors enjoyed dancing on the Ruth Eckerd Hall stage to the sounds of The Southtown Fever Band. Bob and Kathy Stahl, along with their Stahl & Associates Insurance, were among the Ruth Eckerd Hall Gala table sponsors. Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri and his wife, attorney Lauralee Westine, support many Tampa Bay area causes. Committee members Sandra Nesbit and Greg Willsey, whose GFS Private Wealth was a sponsor, were last year’s Gala chairs.
