Tina Bucuvalas, the project director of the Tarpon Springs Center for Gulf Coast Folklife, has announced that the arts grant given to the city of Tarpon Springs by the National Endowment for the Arts will be used to film a documentary about life in their city, known for its Greek heritage, and to help support programs that promote Greek culture in Tarpon Springs. Stacy Carlson has been selected as the next president of the Pinellas Education Foundation, an independent, nongovernment, not-for-profit organization that enhances and improves educational opportunities in Pinellas Schools with programs such as Enterprise Village, Finance Park and Future Plans.
