STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS STEP A To start, hoop a piece of tear-away stabilizer; to fit hoop. Run the first machine step of the first design–this will be the placement stitch. You will have three different hoopings and two designs to pull up to complete this project. STABILIZER TIP We are using a tear-away stabilizer for this collection to allow the back flap of this project to remain flexible. STEP B Place your 5" x 7" base fabric right-side down over the placement stitch. Line up the top of your fabric towards the top of the placement stitch leaving 1/4" seam allowance around the outside of the placement stitch area. STEP C The next step on the machine will tack down the top of your fabric in an upside-down 'U' shape leaving the bottom piece of fabric free.
