Photography by Gram and Noraa Cattle Baron’s Ball The 20th Annual Cattle Baron’s Ball to benefit the American Cancer Society was held in Tampa’s Water Works Park along the Hillsborough River. This year’s ball committee was chaired by Lisa Simington and Paul Scharf. Gail and Mike Nursey were the vice chairs and will be the chairs for the 2018 ball. The proceeds from this event help fund lifesaving research, programs, education and services in the fight to defeat cancer. 164 TAMPA BAY MAGAZINE | MARCH/APRIL 2017 Fox 13 News’ Linda Hurtado, who was the emcee, enjoyed the event with her husband Jorge Figueredo. Angela Rouson and her husband Florida State Sen. Darryl Rouson were happy to be able to support the American Cancer Society. Bill Weber and his wife Cynthia Smoot of Channel 13-Fox News wore their best western wear to the ball. Chris and Lauren Schellman were thanked for the food that her family’s Columbia Restaurant Group donated to the ball. Liz Phillips and her husband Dr. Paul Phillips enjoyed the delicious food served by the Columbia, ��lël�� and Goody Goody restaurants of Tampa. The Honorable Dick Greco, former Tampa mayor, and his wife, Dr. Linda McClintock of Ageless Medicine, danced to the music of Southern Train.
