Chihuly has led the avant-garde movement in the development of glass as a fine art. The new location features all of the same Chihuly works that were on Beach Drive, but Calvin Samuels of CSJM Architects worked with the artist to re-energize the artworks and layout while repeating some of the architectural materials from the Beach Drive location. The beauty of Dale Chihuly’s artwork has captured the world and Tampa Bay is fortunate to have this tribute to his genius as part of our cultural fabric.9 EDITOR’S NOTE: The Chihuly Collection is located at 719 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg, (727) 896-4527. It is open everyday except Thanksgiving and Christmas from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
