Some Words From What’s Inside The Publisher With spring finally arriving, it is only fitting we cover Earth Day this month. The condition of our Mother Earth is so important that we hope to bring our readers back-to-nature for a bit with this issue. Our Farm to Table article is spot-on with the “organic foods” movement. From restaurants to farmers markets, the trend is growing. And if you’ve been around town lately, you’ll find a couple of new “natural” stores have opened. Living Food Bakery and the new Herbal Kitchen, please pay them a visit. For your fresh fruits and vegetables we are so lucky to have a variety of farmers markets. Dade City, Wesley Chapel and Zephyrhills all have great selections. JR Farms Fresh Produce on Chancey Road is one that has been serving our community for over 35 years in addition to Shannon’s Produce on Eiland Blvd. And just in time for spring, we have a new landscaping company: Pasco’s Masonry & Landscaping on Hwy 301 between Zephyrhills and Dade City. They will be having a special sale all month! For April, we spotlight Whitfield Funeral Home and Roxann Owens Tanner of Pency Owens Realty, Inc. It’s always interesting to learn the history of a local business. Your eyes are the window to your health, and that’s exactly what our Health, Mind & Body touches on this month. A great article. Is your teenager getting ready for Prom? If so, we have a plan to help you sleep at night while your child is out “partying”. As if we all haven’t done it ourselves. Lastly, we cover the well-known Thomas Promise Organization in our Focus on Non-Profits section. As usual, we hope you enjoy this issue. And please remember to send us your announcements by the 15th of the month prior to publishing. So often we receive emails after we have gone to press. This month we have added additional street copies, so pick us up!
