Take side lining #2 and lay it on a flat surface, right side up. Using your hands, part your bottom lining and side lining #1 at the unstitched opening. Take the top edge of the bottom lining fabric and align it with the top edge of side lining #2. G ANIMAL BAGS | Project Collection | 225 BOTTOM LINING SIDE LINING #1 SIDE LINING #2 A B C D 0.5” F You are ready to attach the feet of your design. Place feet face up inside the bottom design. Be sure to line up the raw edge of feet with the raw edge of the bottom fabric. Pin in place. Note: we placed feet 0.5” from each placement stitch corner. Some designs may require exact placement based on body embroidery details. Pin points A-D. Straight stitch the edges together as you did in step E. Be sure to leave a 2” gap between points B- and C. This gap will be used to flip bag right side out at the end. Place your lining to the side until later in the instructions. Stitch each foot in place. Now you are ready to attach the zipper to side design #1. Unzip your zipper and place one side, teeth down, 1/4” inside the placement stitches. Clip the zipper tape in the corners as shown at arrows. Pin zipper in place. I H J SEWING ANIMAL BAG TOGETHER K Using your zipper foot, stitch zipper in place at a 1/4” seam allowance which will be slightly inside the fabric tack down stitches.
