REDISCOVER TASTE | HALL ON FRANKLIN The Hall on Franklin is a new collective eatery featuring notable local chefs and mixologists in a unique collaborative dining experience. The restored 1920’s space in Tampa Heights will offer foodies open communal seating and exciting, innovative food choices and experiences. The Hall consists of 7 individual concepts run by a team of seasoned veterans who are all trying something very new to them. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night offerings are covered with Kofé (early morning coffee), The Collection (craft cocktails and rare spirits), North Start Eatery (quick-serve Asian street fare), Poke Rose (Jason Cline’s healthy and fresh sushi in a bowl concept), Bake N Babes (sweet treats), Heights Fish Camp (classic southern seafood) and The Melt Shoppe (gourmet grilled cheeses and milkshakes). Rediscover taste over and over again with the endless options at the Hall. Anticipated to open in late May. Stay tuned. DELIGHTING LOCAL PATRONS Downtown culinary staple IL Ritorno is expanding! Renovations are expected to complete by early August and will offer more seating for varied party sizes as well as a new private dining room that can seat up to 14. In addition to a liquor license, the new space will include an open kitchen with a bar where guests can eat, drink and interact. According to owner and Executive Chef David Benstock, “The expansion will not change who we are and what we do in the kitchen. We will stay true to the quality of food our guests have come to expect.” So for those of us who know and adore IL Ritorno (it’s no secret it’s a LD favorite), it will be the same amazing restaurant, just more for us to love. WYNDHAM GRAND CLEARWATER DINING TO A NEW HAI Clearwater Beach’s only Asian fusion restaurant, Ocean Hai, opened February 17th with innovative creations by renowned Chef John Capponi. The restaurant is the newest addition to the area’s vibrant culinary scene and represents the destination’s only Asian fusion restaurant. Ocean Hai offers daring and creative flavors and colors in virtually every dish from sumptuous sushi and sashimi platters to expertly prepared Thai, Indian and Asian-infused entrées. Dine at Ocean Hai in support of local non-profit organizations with their new You Dine, We Donate program. All net proceeds from food and non-alcoholic beverage purchases by diners seated at Table #31 are given to a different local charity selected each month. Simply book a reservation at Table #31 to participate! Visit LocalsDISH.com for a list of charities the program will support each month in 2017. Word on the street is that Red Mesa Group is taking over the upstairs space above Red Mesa Cantina, former home of Push Ultra Lounge. Our sources indicate a 4 to 5 month build out for the new concept aptly named Red Mesa Events—an event facility featuring a state-of-the-art banquet/catering kitchen, which is far different than a typical restaurant kitchen. With state-ofthe art equipment and old-world recipes, Red Mesa Events will be able to present a gourmet dining experience for 20 to 150 people at a time. The remodeled space will be flexible, hosting workgroup lunch meetings and business presentations, wedding receptions, graduations and other celebratory gatherings. The event space is also ideal for cocktail parties, elegant dining soirees, or full-on party celebrations. Stay tuned to LocalsDish.com for updates.
