Feral Cats Need our help Feral cats are different than stray or abandoned cats. They were born homeless. Cats born in the wild are fearful of people but can be adoptable. I raised two little black kittens that were feral. It took weeks for them to trust me enough to be able to hold them. They were �������������������� Unfortunately there are too many feral cats that are not adoptable. An alterative to adopting is to capture them, spay or neuter them, give them rabies shots and release them back to the wild. Stray cats are cats that were raised in a family environment and were abandoned. They are not equipped to live on their own. It is cruel to abandoned an animal. Stray cats are tame and are adoptable. Ferel cats live harsh lives. Without human help, they are left to fend for themselves. Eating birds and rodents is an unhealthy food choice for the cats. Freezing winters ������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������ It is estimated that 50% of feral kittens die in their �������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� volunteers feed colonies of feral cats and set up warm cat houses.
