expression and confidence building in those with a disability. The WAVE Chorus/Music Program helps individuals to improve their music skills through rehearsal and public performances. The Program also creates an environment for group interaction, teamwork and socialization and fosters the sense of belonging that is so important to all of us. Many WAVE participants are active in all three Programs. WAVE does not accept Waivers for payment, but the Programs are open to all regardless of Waiver status. All WAVE’s Programs are available at a minimal cost and are more affordable than any other local program. An intellectual or developmental disability is a challenge that should not be compounded by social isolation and the frustration of personal fulfillment.
