Whether you are looking to earn required volunteer hours or simply get more involved in your community, there are a number of opportunities throughout the year for friendly and enthusiastic individuals and groups of all ages to volunteer with the Parks & Recreation Department. Or, if you have a talent and want to share it, the department is always looking for volunteer specialty instructors. FACILITY RENTALS & PARK SHELTER RESERVATIONS If you are seeking a place to host your next meeting, event or social gathering, look no further! Several of Cape Coral’s recreation centers have rooms available for private rentals at affordable rates and 20 of the parks have covered picnic shelters, many with BBQ grills and electric, which can be reserved in advance for a nominal fee (see page 36 for details). BOATING & BOAT TRAILER PARKING The City of Cape Coral boasts over 400 miles of canals, many of which have direct access to the Caloosahatchee River and Gulf of Mexico, offering a wide range of marine activities to boating enthusiasts of all ages. The Boat Trailer Parking Program is in effect at the City’s five developed ramps. Boaters must pay a $10 daily fee through the Passport Parking app or drop box to park their boat trailers while they are out on the water. To get info on the new parking app and/ or to add funds to your account, visit www.m.ppprk.com. Cape Coral residents may purchase an annual boat trailer parking decal for only $50. Cape Coral residents may now present their Pay and Park electronic receipt within 72 hours for a discount on the purchase of an annual decal as well as register additional tow vehicles at a discounted rate. There is a provision for commercial Cape Coral businesses to purchase annual decals for $100 each. Several undeveloped boat ramps are also located throughout the City with access to freshwater. Visit the Marine Services section of the website to view a map of all ramp locations or, for more information about the Boat Trailer Parking program and/or boater assistance, contact the Harbormaster’s Office at (239) 574-0809. Program Registration While you may sign up for a program in person or by calling the facility offering the program, the quickest and easiest way to check availability and reserve your space is to REGISTER ONLINE: 1 – LOG ON ���� Go to www.CapeParks.com. Click on the red “ Register Online!” button located in the top left corner of the website then log onto Web Trac using your assigned “User Name” and “Password.” 2 – PROGRAM SELECTION ������To locate a particular program, click on the age, grade, and activity type to search. Add desired selections to your shopping cart. 3 – CHECKOUT �� Click the “Checkout” button and enter your credit card number. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. �� ��������Review billing information and click the “Go” button to begin the payment authorization process. Please be patient as clicking on the “Go” button more than once may result in multiple charges.
