Well, there are still fine quality shows, exhibits and events happening all over the county. Let me highlight a few things for you to do this Summer season to fulfill your Arts & Culture desires. Take some time to visit these wonderful examples happening in the next 4 months. Palm Beach Dramaworks (West Palm Beach) Running from July 14t through August 6t is the riveting tale of Sweeney Todd. This musical thriller play is a dark, witty take of love, murder and revenge set in Victorian England. Sweeney Todd, a Fleet Street barber, surreptitiously murders his clients and his obliging neighbor, Mrs. Lovett, profitably makes their corpses into delicious meat pies. A grim murder adventure told in song. Make plans to see this soon! Coming on October 20t until November 19t is the play The Little Foxes. This is a classic 20t century drama focusing on the ruthless struggle for control of the Hubbard family business. Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens (Delray Beach) Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens offer some fascinating unique events this season. Continuing with their annual tradition, they have their Sushi & Stroll Summer Walks. Guests are invited on select Friday evenings (from 5:30-8:30pm) throughout the summer to experience and explore their Japanese gardens, cold drink in hand. Here you can sip craft sake selections (some sweet, sparkling 12 Explore Palm Beach | Welcome to our world™ or creamy). Stop by either July 14t, August 11t or September 8t to enjoy this annual event. Make plans to come by on October 21st to experience the “Lantern Festival In The Spirit of Obon”. A festival with Japanese folk-dancing, drumming, their Ennichi street fair and iconic lantern floating ceremony in the spirit of Obon – Japan’s summer homage to ancestors who return for a brief visit to the living. Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre (West Palm Beach) Owned by the South Florida Fairgrounds, Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre is a modern outdoor amphitheatre used largely for concerts and other live performances.
