Two inducted into Nixa’s Academic Hall of Fame. Nixa Public Schools Nixa Public Schools has inducted two Nixa graduates into its Academic Hall of Fame. Lucinda (Housley) Luetkemeyer and Craig Naugle. Upon graduating, Luetkemeyer attended the University of Missouri, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2008 with degrees in news journalism and political science. She continued her education with a law degree from MU, graduating fi rst in her class in 2011. She started her work in politics, government and journalism in high school, even assisting with the district’s 2004 bond issue. She has continued working in these areas in jobs at the Missourian, in Columbia, and Business Traveler magazine. She was the senior lead articles editor with Missouri Law Review Journal. She was a clerk for the Honorable Duane Benton on the U.S. Court of Appeals Eighth Circuit, worked for Spencer Fane law fi rm for three years, was an attorney with Graves Garrett, LLC from 2014-16, and was named Gov. Eric Greitens’ General Council in 2017. Luetkemeyer makes time to give back. She currently serves on Luetkemeyer the Operation Breakthrough Advisory Board, an agency that helps children in poverty by empowering their families, the Church of the Resurrection KC Downtown’s Capital Campaign Committee, and Big Naugle Brothers Big Sisters in Columbia. After graduating, Naugle received his medical degree from the University of Missouri. He then completed a fellowship in Mohs Surgery and cutaneous oncology at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California, and brought the Mohs micrographic surgery to the area for the fi rst time. Naugle is a surgeon whose primary focus is to surgically remove skin cancers using the Mohs micrographic surgery technique.
