Over the last 22 years, ���������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� ������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������ of Children First. She started her duties with Selby in July. “Carol Butera possesses the perfect blend of experience, intelligence, compassion, drive, and desire to collaborate,” said the Selby Foundation Administrative Committee Chair Karin Grablin. “It is an honor to represent the Selby Foundation and steward the remarkable legacy left by William G. and Marie Selby,” said ���������������� �������������� ���������� �������� �������� ���������������������� �������������� ������ �������� ������������ ������ thousands of young people, and the operations of hundreds ������ ���������������������� ������������������������������ ������ ������������ ���������� �������� ���������������� ������ �������� Administrative Committee, is to continue the collaborative partnership of the Foundation in improving the lives of current and future generations.” The Road Ahead While Pappas is no longer working for Selby, she has no plans ������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������ ���������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� “I plan to do some consulting work, and I recently presented a workshop with a young colleague at the Community Foundation of Sarasota County (CFSC),” she says. Pappas has also been ���������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� Unit of the Surgery Center. “It is unlike any of my previous work, ������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������ volunteers,” she says. “We are so lucky to have a hospital like ������������������������������������ ���������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� She goes to the YMCA six days a week, where she takes Zumba classes and does strength training. She also enjoys attending book club meetings and going out to dinner and a movie with her husband. She has two grandsons who are currently attending college—one at the University of Florida and one who just started at Florida Gulf Coast University.
