Beach Dramaworks, since 2000 they have strived
to bring live theatre productions of classic, contemporary
and overlooked play to our area. Starting
th until January 5th they are producing
the show Ordinary Americans - a world premiere
for this play. This commissioned play, based
on events in the lives of Gertrude Berg and Philip
Loeb, the pioneering stars of television’s groundbreaking
sitcom, The Goldbergs (not the current
ABC comedy), reveals the double-edged sword between
speaking out and staying silent. Their next
main stage production is Skylight that will run from
February 7th until March 1st-
ner of the Olivier Award for Best New Play. This play
is a story of two lovers unexpectedly reunited on a
bitterly cold London evening. Can incompatible values
and opposing worldviews be bridged if passion
remains? Stay tuned!
