STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS STEP D Take the base fabric and lay it over the batting. Make sure you cover all sides by at least a ½”. This way, you will have a seam allowance to work with for the finishing steps. STEP E Place the hoop back into the machine and run the next machine step, the tacking stitch for the base fabric. Once the fabric is tacked, you are ready to start the embroidery steps to complete the design. STEP F Once all of the embroidery steps are complete, take the design out of the hoop. Using a rotary blade and ruler, trim the block to ½” seam allowance.
