Seventh Annual Subway Cycling Classic Enjoy the beautiful Gulf Coast and witness the best in the Southeast compete at Subway’s annual Pensacola Cycling Classic from Sept. 10 to 11. The event features three stages over two days of intense racing, which includes a time trial on one of the world’s most beautiful beaches— Pensacola Beach. There will also be a road race in Milton, Fla., taking riders through scenic Blackwater River State Forest, followed by a Criterium held in historic Downtown Pensacola. The Pensacola Dragon Boat Festival by Northeast Pensacola Sertoma has met roaring success and so returns for its third year at beautiful Bayview Park in Downtown Pensacola. If you’re not ready to sign your team up for the races, then just come out to enjoy the spectacle of colorful water dragons fighting their way to be first to the finish line. DJ Gus will emcee the event and there will be plenty of vendors to browse while you listen to live performances by Coastal Fire. The Pensacola Dragon Boat Festival is also 501(c3) nonprofit that works to benefit Gulf Coast Kid’s House to which all proceeds from the event go to building and maintaining the program and services the organization that goes above and beyond for our community.
