The market is flooded with blues. Grey has become another neutral, and it goes with everything. Every company is going with clean lines, but some people want the traditional, old-looking stuff. Use what you are comfortable with, and decorate your home with things you love, as you can’t change your house like you do your clothes; it’s too expensive. In terms of textures? Your big pieces are good for incorporating texture, and then you need to add some pop with color. Almost anything goes with blue—greens, beige, oranges. The most important design tip to remember? Don’t just go out and buy something because you like it. Make sure it all goes together and is balanced in the room. So many buy a huge leather sofa, and discover that it doesn’t go with anything or fit anywhere in the house. Plan your design carefully and maybe get some professional help.
