Junika Jones ’14, gave birth to a daughter, Janai Destiny Jones, on May 6, 2015. Tying the Knot Amanda (Cook) Phelps ’05 was married in December 2014. Jini McClelland ’06 and Daniel Redmond were married April 25, 2015. Diana Russo ’09 and Joseph Morande ’11 were married December 13, 2014. Brandon M. Brooks ’11 married Amanda T. Rhodes on November 7, 2015, and will begin his residency training in Podiatric Medicine & Surgery at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, GA. Accomplishments ’50s Greg Guiteras ’54, ’67 was recently featured in the video documentary In All Things about the restoration of his parish church, Saint Francis Xavier in Manhattan. His contribution to the project included the restoration of nine large statues. ’70s James Jacobsen ’70 (see Page 33, Lions in the Pride). Carl Moeller ’79 is beginning his 36th year as an educator teaching in the Weston Public Schools in Connecticut. He is also entering his 13th year at Weston Intermediate School in the Physical Education Department. Charles Piper ’88 has released his newest book, Healthcare Fraud Investigation Guidebook, published by CRC Press/Taylor & Francis Group. ’90s David Church ’91 is an inventory control specialist on the Antares Program for Orbital ATK/LVD – Temperanceville Facility, in Wallops Island, VA. Frann Kelley-Rodriguez ’91 has opened a private practice offering servant leadership, soft skills, and executive coaching. Mark Revenew ’91 has been reappointed to the Georgia Board of Public Safety. Thomas M. Spenard ’92 retired from the U.S. Army after 24 years as an officer. Mary Jurczak ’96 resides with her husband and 10-year-old son in Little Elm, TX, where she works as a special education instructional coach in the Frisco Independent School District. Jeffrey S. Walden ’97 retired after 32 years of service to the Hampton (VA) Police Division. Wiley A. “Buddy” Storey Jr. ’99 has been hired as procurement manager for Plant City, FL, after serving on an interim basis. ’00s Rabbi A. James Rudin ’00 recently published Pillar of Fire: A Biography of Rabbi Stephen S. Wise (Texas Tech University Press), which was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in biography as well as the National Jewish Book Award. In addition, Rabbi Rudin was chosen to participate in the June 2016 Roosevelt Reading Festival at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park, NY. The rabbi is the Distinguished Professor of Religion and Judaica at Saint Leo University. Steven Sterling ’00 is deputy executive director of Administration and Operations at Norfolk (VA) International Airport after serving as that airport’s former chief of police and security coordinator. Mary (Minter) O’Connor ’01, a Tampa assistant police chief, will retire after more than 20 years at the department. Edwin Ortiz ’09, ’12 and Roseanne Cannizzo’12 celebrated their marriage in November 2013. Phoebe DiLeo ’13 and Richard Maclachlan ’10 were married December 27, 2015. Kristina Lindner ’13 and Sean Cramer have a wedding planned for November 19, 2016.
