Forty-nine people were killed and 53 injured. The world embraced the Pulse tragedy and its victims through hundreds of public vigils, memorials and shows of unity and acceptance. These are just a few examples of the how the event reinforced Orlando and Central Florida as the epicenter of love and joie de vivre.
