NEWS Members select Lou Nimkoff as 2017 president-elect ORRA REALTOR® member voting also fills four open director positions on the association’s 2017 board of directors Members of the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association have voted for Lou Nimkoff, Brio Real Estate Services LLC, to serve as the association’s 2017 presidentelect. Nimkoff will automatically ascend to the association’s president position in 2018. Results of the 2017 ORRA Leadership Election were announced on September 30 during a reception at the Amway Center. Orlando Magic ambassadors and former players Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw mingled with guests! Member voting also filled four available director positions: • Dallas Ackley, RE/MAX Town Centre; • Christian Bohyn, Christian Bohyn, REALTOR; • Mike McGraw, RE/MAX Town & Country Realty; and • Reese Stewart, RE/MAX Properties SW Inc. Two officer positions — treasurer and secretary — and the affiliate director position were unopposed. The candidates automatically assuming these positions are: • Treasurer: Jeff Fagan, Watson Realty Corp; • Secretary: Dennis Burgess, Real Estate Firm of Orlando; and • Affiliate Director: Cat Brower, Mortgagee Title Services, Inc. Current ORRA President-elect Bruce Elliott, Regal R.E. Professionals LLC, will step into the association's 2017 president position, and current ORRA President John Lazenby, Colony Realty Group, Inc., will stay with the board of directors for another year as immediate past president. Directors whose three-year terms continue through 2017 include: • Natalie Arrowsmith, Arrowsmith Realty Inc; • Jim Batenchuk, Charles Rutenberg Realty; • Jill Boles, Don Asher & Associates, Inc.; • Joe Doher, BHHS Results Realty; • Beatrix Masotti, Coldwell Banker Residential RE; • Cathy Marino, Cathy S. The Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association's Good Neighbor Awards, now in its third year, seeks to recognize REALTORS® who have made an extraordinary impact on their community, or on the national or world stage, through volunteer work. Up to 10 finalists will be announced at a special recognition event, and each will receive $1,000 grants for their charities. The winners will also be recognized in Orlando REALTOR® magazine. This year's ORRA Good Neighbor Award application deadline is 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 31, 2016. Nominees must be REALTOR® members of the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association. REALTORS® may nominate themselves or may be nominated by another ORRA REALTOR® member, an ORRA affiliate ORLANDO REGIONAL REALTOR® ASSOCIATION GOOD NEIGHBOR AWARDS member, or the community organization they serve.
