ENONAC HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA Sharisse Scineaux Patterson, Alvin Richard and Sylvia Scineaux Richard From the moment you entered you could feel the excitement of the holiday spirit. Fresh poinsettias were in plentiful and beautiful arrangements on the black and gold linen-draped tables, on the stage and on the serving tables. This gathering of East New Orleans residents, businesses and politicians seemed to be the perfect marriage of recognition and appreciation for each other. Kweilyn Murphy, Meteorologist for WDSU News was the perfect host. The entertainers were superb with hardly a song that didn’t get the crowd out on the floor dancing. Among the entertainers were the singing sisters, Arin and Alexis, plus James “Satchmo” Andrews, Wanda Rouzan and the magical violin of Michael Ward. At the end of the Extravaganza, the New Birth Brass Band came in with the stilt walkers from the Zulu Nation to wow the crowd.
