If you need help crafting a few healthy goals for the new year, the health and fitness experts at Bradley Wellness Center can help. Drink More Water Our bodies consist of 60 percent water. Among other functions, water: • Regulates your body temperature • Cushions your joints • Keeps your mouth, eyes, and nose moist • Helps your body process nutrients • Flushes out waste products • Helps to improve your energy level Experts recommend that most of us should drink six to eight 8-ounce glasses of water each day. Remember to Rest Most of us don’t need to be reminded to rest! However, it can sometimes be tempting to continue exercising even though our bodies are exhausted. If you haven’t exercised in a while, you should consider alternating your active days with rest days. As your stamina builds, you may choose to have just one rest day per week. Focus on Form Learning to use the correct form while exercising can help you to steer clear of future injuries. Bradley Wellness Center employs six certified personal trainers and three fitness consultants. They want you to achieve your goals and will help you with any questions you may have. All members of Bradley Wellness Center are offered a complimentary personal training assessment. Eat Healthy According to the American Heart Association, a healthy diet consists of five servings of vegetables, four servings of fruits, six servings of grains, three servings of dairy, and two servings of protein each day. All members are offered a complimentary nutrition consultation. Just ask the associate at the front desk for an appointment. Try New Things If you’re new to exercising, everything is new!
