Downtown Clearwater Summer 59 Pull Up A Chair at Station Square Park The city of Clearwater’s Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) has kicked off the activation of Station Square Park, 612 Cleveland St. The city’s CRA installed chairs, tables and large umbrellas at Station Square Park to encourage people to utilize the urban park in Downtown Clearwater. The CRA hosted a celebration in February with live music to kick off the initiative. Throughout the year, several local organizations will sponsor events at Station Square Park. Activities will include yoga classes, music performances and art presentations. Currently, Anytime Fitness hosts Lunchtime Express Workouts at 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays at Station Square Park. Classes are 30 minutes and include a series of circuit training exercises. The Lunchtime Express Workout is free for Anytime Fitness members. It costs $5 for non-members. Live bands are playing on Friday afternoons. The next concert is planned for May 5 from noon to 2 p.m. More concerts are being scheduled. A Painting in the Park/Art Bazaar event has come to Station Square Park. Come to downtown and be creative! The event will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, June 3 and June 17. DOWNTOWN HAPPENINGS Inaugural Downtown Clearwater Craft Beer & Music Fest This event will be held from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on May 20 in Station Square Park and on Cleveland Street from East to Fort Harrison avenues. Last BLAST Friday of the Season Features Local Bands BLAST Friday features musical entertainment by local favorites, the Greg Billings Band and The Black Honkeys from 5:30 to 10 p.m. on May 26. Pierce Street Market The Pierce Street Market's Summer Saturday Market takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 13 along on the waterfront in Downtown Clearwater under the Memorial Causeway Bridge. This local makers market features food trucks and more than 100 vendors selling jewelry, clothes, vintage items, handmade art and more.
