Countryside Camp is the place to BE this summer. Countryside campers will participate in a wide variety of fun activities each week, such as fishing, laser tag, arts and crafts, games and much more. For fun, field trips and character development, Countryside is the place to BE! Summer Programs 1 Clearwater Parks & Recreation Summer fun Guide Clearwater camps are the place to be this summer! Traditional summer day camp programs will be offered at Countryside Recreation Center, the Long Center, North Greenwood Recreation & Aquatic Complex and Ross Norton Recreation Complex. Campers at all city recreation centers will participate in a wide variety of fun activities. Each week has a different “B” theme sure to keep campers busy. Along with fun and games, campers will learn about positive character traits, such as teamwork, courage and service. Registration is under way. Go to myclearwater.com/camps for more information. Countryside 2640 Sabal Springs Drive, 669-1914 Summer Camps Elementary Summer Camp (entering grades 1-5) Middle School Summer Camp (entering grades 6-8) • May 30-Aug. 4 • No camp July 4 • Mon.-Fri. • 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. • $90 (W) /$100 (W/O) per week • Registration is ongoing Weekly Camp Themes and Field Trips Week 1: (May 30-June 2) Be a Gamer All camps will have a blast as they take to bumper cars, mini bowling, laser tag and other arcade games at PK’S Play Zone. Week 2: (June 5-9) Be a Voyager Beaches, bait and bottle-nose dolphins are all sights to see as we voyage this week. A cruise on the Sea Screamer is in store for those in elementary school, and baiting hooks for middle schoolers as they try their best to catch the big one on the Double Eagle. Week 3: (June 12-16) Be an Adventurer Engaging in science, learning with hands-on fun at the Great Explorations Museum for elementary-aged campers, while middle schoolers experience the breeze on the ropes course at MOSI. Week 4: (June 19-23) Beachin’ Boats in the Bay Be a marine biologist for the day and check out a spoil island as well as the marine life in Clearwater with Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Week 5: (June 26-30) Best of the Best Be a champion this week and compete in fun games and sports. Dominate the scoreboard, and be the bowling champion, bringing home the highest scoring trophy as both camps go to Splitsville. Week 6: (July 3-7) Bucket Brigade Bullseye! Stay at the center with us as we strike the target to submerge our friends in the dunk tank, then get slippery and slide down the inflatable water slides. (There is no camp July 4.) Week 7: (July 10-14) Babbling Brook Week Elementary-aged campers will savor the sun and blue water at Splash Harbor and at Rainbow Springs for middle school campers. Week 8: (July 17-21) Bouncing Around Week Get your bounce on at an inflatable bounce house for elementary students and trampoline arena for middle school students. Week 9: (July 24-28) Bats, Bases and Balls Kick back and relax while both camps enjoy peanuts and Cracker Jacks at the Tampa Bay Rays baseball game. Week 10: (July 31-Aug 4) Breezing and Braking Break free and feel the breeze in your hair as we race down to Astro Stake for elementary schoolers and GoKarting for middle schoolers.
