CREATING ANIMAL SIDE DESIGNS Place a piece of batting over the top the placement stitches. Be sure to completely cover all sides. Trim away the excess batting as close to the tack down stitches as possible. We will start by making the sides of the bag. To begin, hoop a piece of No-Show Mesh Stabilizer and run the first step which is the placement stitch for the batting. C D Step 2 of the design will tack the batting in place. If stitching a design that uses two or more appliqué fabrics, step 3 of the design will be a placement stitch showing you exactly where to place your first piece of appliqué fabric. Then, the next machine step will be your tack down stitch for the appliqué fabric. Once the tacking stitch is complete, trim away excess appliqué fabric. Note: Be careful when trimming appliqué fabrics. Be sure to leave at least a 1/2” seam allowance around the outside of your design. B If stitching a design that uses only one appliqué fabric (as example shown), your next step will be placing your appliqué fabric over top of the tack down stitches completed in step 2 of the design. Be sure to completely cover all sides of the design. COLLECTION TITLE | Product Line | 221 A E F
