STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS G H Trim the excess fabric as close to the tack down stitches as possible. I J Lay your fabric right-side facing down along the inner tacking stitch, overlapping by ¹/₈”. Note: You will need to make sure that your fabric is wide enough to compensate for your ¹/₂” seam allowance, once folded. K L Fold your fabric over the exterior of the design. Note: You will want to make sure that your fabric is taut. You can do so by using tape to secure the fabric in place. Step 4 of the design will tack the base fabric in place. Run your embroidery steps until you reach the folded fabric border. Each border will first begin with a placement stitch. Note: Your folded fabric borders will begin at different times in each design. Refer to your Design Steps to see when borders begin for each design. The next machine step will provide you with your folding line. A BUD’S LIFE | Mix and Match Collection | 274
