STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS For this project, we utilized our base quilt block from our “Quilting 1,2,3” Premium Collection and merged our Picnic design on top. You can do the same! If you’ve been an All Access Club member since April 2016, you have “Quilting 1,2,3”. Happy Stitching! A B Place a piece of batting over the top of the squaring stitches. Be sure to completely cover all sides. C D Lay base fabric over the batting completely covering all sides. Make sure you leave 1/2” of fabric around the exterior of the design for seam allowance. E F Lay the base fabric over the top of the placement stitches, completely covering all sides. To start, hoop a piece of no-show mesh stabilizer and stitch step 1 of the design. This is the squaring stitch. Note: The entire design will be inside of these squaring stitches. Step 2 of the design will tack the batting in place. Trim the excess batting as close to the tack down stitches as possible. Step 3 of the design is the tack down stitch for the base fabric. Step 4 will create the quilting design on the base fabric.
