NAUI Master Scuba Diver ly new way of seeing and understanding the physical world. It is an exciting new world to explore, and it is a place where you will begin to see many things in new ways. The physical world underwater that we covered in this chapter is only one aspect. As you read this book and as you learn more, you will begin to see how this new physical environment affects many other things. We have briefly discussed how your body reacts differently in a water environment. There is much more to discover about this as you learn diving physiology. As you learn more about the marine environment, you will see how the physics of that environment affects the aquatic creatures and ecosystems. The equipment that you use to dive is designed with the physics of the water world in mind. Diving physics does not stand alone. Like Indra’s net, all of what you learn in this course is interrelated to everything else, and as your understanding deepens, hopefully so will your sense of wonder and appreciation for the world around you. 102 Diving Physics Improper Trim Proper Trim FIGURE 3-15.
