Becker’s fabric art was inspired by the cloth illustrations of a children’s book. While decorating a room for her grandchildren and as a sewer, the idea of sewing a picture appealed to her, and since that time, she has been at a sewing machine. When she began, she used commercial cotton fabric, but now her camera is her constant companion. She has the ability to transfer her photos to cotton fabrics for use in her pictures.
