FLORIDA RX CARD As Florida residents, ORRA members and their families have access to a statewide prescription assistance program. The Florida RX Card program provides savings at pharmacies such as CVS, Target, Walgreen, Winn-Dixie and more. The discount program is especially useful to those who do not have prescription coverage as part of their insurance plan. Program Details • The program can be used to supplement most health insurance plans including Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and high-deductible plans. It can also be used as a Medicare Part D supplement by providing discounts on non-covered drugs. • There are no enrollment forms, no age or income requirements, no waiting periods, no eligibility required, no exclusions, covers pre-existing conditions, no claim forms to file, no annual or lifetime limits. • The program includes discounts on brand and generic medications, open formulary so that all medications are eligible for discounts. • The discount prescription card is pre-activated and accepted at more than 68,000 pharmacies around the country including most major chains. • No personal information is required to get a card. ORRA foundation awarded $5,000 to develop new housing group Consortium will gather local organizations to propose solutions related to affordable housing FOUNDAT I O N The Orlando Regional REALTOR® Foundation, ORRA’s charitable arm, has received a $5,000 grant to form a consortium of affordable housing industry professionals that will discuss issues and propose solutions. The NAR Housing Opportunity grant will help the foundation revitalize the Nonprofit Housing Roundtable of Central Florida, an existing organization that was created to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas regarding affordable housing. Together, the foundation and the roundtable will combine resources and bring together the many diverse groups who are working independently to address Central Florida’s lack of affordable housing. They will also provide a conduit for fundraising, collect relevant data, and develop plans and solutions for increasing the supply of affordable and workforce housing. orlandorealtors.org 7
