Everything Old Is New Again! In the world of decorating and design there is currently no hotter trend than reusing old pieces of furniture to give new looks to your home. Whether reconditioned, renewed, refurbished, redesigned or revamped, these pieces are a muchdesired page commodity. Redesigning allows you to take an old or maybe unused piece and make it new and beautiful again. In the past, this has not been a job that just your average person could tackle due to the often-difficult process of refinishing. Today however, this process is made very simple by the introduction of Chalk Pain by Annie Sloan, available at Vibra’s of Dunn. Take your outdated colors and change them to your new decor easily. Lots of oak furniture in your home?  A wonderful tough wood and one to keep for years to come!  You can change the color, style and versatility just with a little paint and wax!  These pieces make great dining tables and chairs, shelving units, and entertainment centers. The possibilities go on and on. For those unfamiliar with Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan, it is a fabulous product developed by artist Annie Sloan of England. This line of paints was developed by Sloan over twenty years ago to answer a need she had for a more versatile paint to use for redesigning furniture. The paint she developed she called “chalk paint” for the smooth texture it gives to anything to which it is applied. There is however no chalk in this paint. This wonderful paint is very easy to work with and requires little to no prep work on the piece being painted. It can be used inside or outside, on most any surface.
