1990s To Now The Nineties introduced the Internet with the world wide web, while seeing an increase in personal computer sales starting at 15% at the beginning of the decade and growing to 35% before the end. Cellular phones were large and app-less, while being mostly owned by the wealthy. However, everyone had a beeper! The fear of Y2K was upon us as we got closer and closer to the year 2000.
