G H I J K L 87 Steps Run the tack down stitch for the base fabric. Place base fabric right-side up completely covering the design. Using an iron, apply steam to the block to create the “Shrinky” look. Using rotary blade and ruler, trim block to 1/2” seam allowance. NOTIONS TIP This is what your finished Heat ‘N’ Shrink block should look like before applying it to appliqué. Continue with the echo stitching of the design. We used a black thread for tutorial purposes only. When creating a Heat ‘N’ Shrink block, you will typically want to match your thread with your fabric. TIP
