Meet Eric Beech Owner of Orange Beach’s Brick & Spoon With a name like “Brick and Spoon”, it becomes quickly obvious that Eric Beech’s restaurant in Orange Beach is more than just a little unique. As a true “Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch only” establishment, it has also earned distinction as being named among Travel + Leisure Magazine’s “Top 10 Breakfasts in America”. “Brick and Spoon is not your average breakfast concept,” said Beech, who has owned and operated the eatery since July of 2013. “We specialize in fresh and local ingredients – that sets us apart from other concepts in the area. We take pride in providing great food and friendly service.” Featuring an extensive menu that is billed as “completely sophisticated yet totally casual”, selections feature hearty breakfast and lunch items paired with deliciously unique cocktails, including a unique “buildyour own” Bloody Mary category that is completely customizable for each customer. Originally from Mobile, Beech began bartending in college and quickly became hooked on the restaurant industry. Now boasting more than 18 years of culinary experience, every day still brings something new. “I wanted to move to the beach and pursue my restaurant career,” said Eric. “I love meeting new people and I also enjoy making people happy.” Brick and Spoon is open 7 days a week, but is only open from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m., so don’t sleep in too late if you want to enjoy one of their fabulous menu items, one of their diverse coffee selections or a unique cocktail. Menu selections range from seafood to steaks, sandwiches to burgers, and - of course - a complete offering of breakfast and brunch fare. Beech lists watching live sporting events, traveling, listening to music and “just hanging out with friends” as some of his favorite hobbies and interests and aspires to opening more restaurants in future years.
