Lining Instructions steps STITCHING TOTE BAG TOGETHER 23 3/4” 20 7/8” You should now have two pieces of lining fabric that look like this. We will refer to them as lining #1 and lining #2. Place the two lining pieces to the side. You will need to leave a 3.0” opening as shown to flip the pocket right side out. Using your sewing machine, straight stitch the two pocket pieces together using a 1/2” seam allowance. 20 anitagoodesignonline.com To begin, cut two rectangles 23 3/4” x 20 7/8” (shown as large solid rectangle). Then, cut two small squares measuring 2 7/8” x 2 7/8” from the bottom corners of the large rectangle. These are shown using a dotted line. Cut two additional 10.0” x 14.0” rectangles using the lining fabric. These will be used to create the pocket inside your tote bag. Place the two pocket pieces on top of each other, right sides together, and pin in place. Note: the pocket pictures are enlarged for instructional purposes. Using the 3.0” opening, flip the pocket right side out and press flat. Then fold the pocket in half and press once again as shown.
