All of the boxes start with a concept. The concept for the piece, since each is unique, depends entirely on the box. Hermès boxes, for example, are more of a blank, orange canvas. The orange is so luscious in color that every other color I use seems to work with it. I tend to immediately want to add Hermès scarves to these pieces whether as appliqué or as pomp-poms. Some of the other boxes like Valentino and Gucci already feature amazing graphics in them, so I tend to seek my inspiration based on what is already printed on the box and go from there.
