STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS STEP D Trim the excess batting away from the design. STEP E Remember to trim batting away from the center so that your design is able to fold later. The next step on your machine will be a placement stitch for your first appliqué, which is the snowman's body. TIP STEP F Designs 1, 6 & 7 only have a base appliqué with no additional fabrics to be added. Place base fabric after step 2 for these designs. Place your first appliqué fabric down over the placement stitches, covering all sides.
