eeting g s Steps Creating a Greeting Card A B To start, hoop a piece of tear-away stabilizer and stitch step 1 of the design. This is your placement stitch showing you exactly where to place the card. Unfold the card and place the front right side up, lined up with the placement stitches. C D Run step 2 of the design. This is your tack down stitch of the card securing it to the stabilizer. This stitch also acts as a placement stitch for your base fabric. E F The next machine step will be the tack down stitch for the base fabric. This is also a decorative bean stitch. NOTE: Choose a thread to match base fabric 46 anitagoodesignonline.com Make sure the card is straight and centered before stitching the design. Tape the card in place. Place your base fabric over top of the tack down stitches. Be sure to completely cover all of the stitches. Using sharp scissors, trim the excess fabric away from the tack down stitches.
