On the day of orientation, she slipped and fell in the bathroom. Eight months pregnant and with a boot on her foot, Princetta still showed up for class. Princetta completed her core classes skipping only one semester to have her daughter, whom she named Jewell after her mentor. When her core classes were completed, she began the Cosmetology Program. In 2001, she passed the State Board exam and became a Licensed Master Cosmetologist. “I went to work and was mentored by Lene Price, a licensed cosmetologist, for three years at Lene Salon in Lyons, Georgia,” said Princetta. In 2004, she opened her own salon in Mosley Street Plaza and named it Face 2 Face Hair Boutique. “I turned 24 that same month,” she said.
