We’re Making Waves for Everyone in 2017 We’re Dedicated to Raising Awareness About Shark and Ocean Conservation Florida State Fairgrounds, Tampa - July 8 – July 9 SharkCon, is encouraging everyone to come out for an event that brings those who love the ocean together for a weekend of education and the fun of a Comic Con. SharkCon has something for everyone who loves the ocean. We have a huge interactive exhibit from our presenting sponsor The Florida Aquarium which includes games, trivia, and a shark tooth sand dig. Busch Gardens will have an exhibit with touch tanks, games, conservation information, and shark facts. The Clearwater Aquarium will be there with an exhibit that will teach you Register Now For Fall Back-To-School Classes! about marine mammal rescue and they will have touch tanks. Florida Fish and Wildlife will be bringing tons of shark and ray exhibits. The Shark Conservation Center will be doing shark dissections to teach you about how sharks work on the inside. Shark Park will also be there with live cat and bamboo sharks. The 22 foot shark slide will be back and the Pirate Ship Bounce House. This year there will be the Go Dive Now pool to try scuba to give those who have never done scuba a chance to check it out. There will be 12 different activities for your kids through our non- ������������������������������������������������������������������ Tampa Bay Watch, and Conversation Ocean. Over all there will be over 30 activities all completely FREE. There are speakers this year including our headline speakers Ocean Ramsey (TED Talks), Anthony Ferrante the director of the Sharknado movies, and Eli Martinez from several Shark Week specials. All of our speakers will also be available for FREE autographs and photo opportunities after their presentations. Everything listed above is included in the price of admission. We also have over 100 booths of vendors that are shark, ocean, conservation organizations, and our sponsors. We have two vendors, the shark ride and shark photo booth, which are an additional charge. Parking at the Florida State Fairgrounds is $6.
