Environmental Studies Discovering Marine Life Conservation Grades 3rd-7th Students will experience the real life complexities of marine conservation by playing the role of a conservationist to not only reveal the difficulties facing aquatic wildlife, but to also be inspired to take an active role in the preservation of marine habitats and marine life. Principles Of Animal Behavior Grades 2nd-5th Students trek through the different habitats of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park to explore the intriguing world of animals and their unique and amazing behaviors during this interactive survival adventure! Throughout this exciting journey, students are encouraged to think and act in new and more comprehensive ways about the role conservation plays in their own lives. Sustainable Practices In Wildlife Conservation Grades 6th-8th Students discover how people and animals are all connected and how each uniquely responds to environmental challenges. Students examine different perspectives on conservation and how these might impact decision-making. They will work collaboratively using their newlygained knowledge and insight to create an effective conservation action plan for a community that closely resembles some of the lands found within Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. The importance of teamwork is reinforced as an essential tool in conservation, as well as everyday life. 9 Disney Youth Educational Program Packages Liberal Arts Discovering The American Spirit Grades 3rd-12th Journey through Liberty Square to learn about our great leaders and their ability to stand tall in the face of adversity. Fundamentals Of Photo Storytelling Grades 6th-12th With Epcot as the subject, students will learn the how to capture images that tell a story. They will learn to observe with their creative lens and practice photography techniques that connect people, places and events. This program was developed in conjunction with Jostens®, a leader in celebrating and sharing memorable occasions. Techniques Of Teamwork Grades 6th-12th Get insights into how improvisational theories can be applied to real-life situations at home, school or in future careers. Every student plays a role in a mock production and is taught professional communication techniques that, with practice, help build confidence, unleash creativity and cultivate teamwork. Introduction To Global Citizenship Grades 4th-9th Explore the cultures of several nations represented within World Showcase at Epcot® where students will interact with international ambassadors and come to understand the rights and responsibilities as a global citizen. Students discover that while cultures vary, we are all united in a global community through advancements in technology, communication and commerce. Experiencing Synergy In Science Grades K-2nd Explore how innovators use synergy to drive technological advancements to improve our quality of life. Students will be inspired through attraction experiences that demonstrate synergy and team challenges designed to stretch their imaginations to see what they can combine to generate new systems and tools. The Science of Disney Imagineering: Gravity Grades 6th-8th Join an Imagineering Associate to explore how Walt Disney Imagineering uses Newton’s Laws of Motion to create multi-sensory experiences within Disney Theme Parks. Hands-on experiments challenge students to test the force of gravity and discover how our Imagineers are able to turn ordinary spaces into immersive spaces that challenge their perception of reality.
