STITCHING DESIGN Once your templates are created, you are ready to move on to the next set of steps which will show you how to trim out the top and bottom fabrics of cushion, as well as stitching the embroidery design on the top cushion fabric. A B You are now ready to stitch out the design onto the top cushion fabric. In order to find the exact center of fabric, fold the top fabric evenly in half, wrong sides together. Pin in place as shown. C D Unfold the fabric as shown with pins in place. E F Use the seam ripper or straight pin to help start peeling back the film to expose the sticky surface. Continue peeling to remove the rest of the film from the sticky back stabilizer. Place the top cushion fabric template on top of your cushion fabric, wrong sides together. Pin the template in place. Cut the fabric to exact size of template. You will need an additional piece cut out for the bottom of your cushion. Be sure to mark the 1.0” tie markings on both the top and bottom fabrics. Fold in half once again, and place another pin. The crossing of these two pins will indicate the exact center of your fabric . Now, hoop a piece of sticky back tear away stabilizer with the glossy side facing up. Using a seam ripper or straight pin, gently score an ‘X’ on the surface of the paper as shown.
