FINISHING STEPS S T Using your sewing machine, stitch the top and bottom fabrics together using a 1/2” seam allowance. Be sure to leave the 8.0” gap open. 8.0” GAP U V Place the foam insert you cut out earlier through the 8.0” gap. W X Tie your chair cushion in place. Take a seat and kick up your feet! You deserve it! Pin the bottom cushion fabric in place on all sides, leaving at least a 8.0” gap as shown to flip your cushion right side out and place foam insert. Using the 8.0” gap, flip your cushion right side out. It should look like this at this point. You are almost finished! With foam insert in place, fold the raw edges of the 8.0” gap inside, and pin in place. Using a hand sewing needle and coordinating thread, stitch the gap closed.
