CREATING A LACE QUILT To begin, stitch out all of the quilt square designs you wish to use to create your quilt. We have put together a check list to get you started. Hoop two pieces of Wash-away stabilizer to stitch out each design. Match your bobbin thread to top thread for each design step in the design. When the design is finished, use scissors to trim as much excess stabilizer as possible around the design. Be sure not to snip any stitches! Wait until you have attached the blocks all together before fully rinsing the designs. Use a slightly damp sponge, and run it along the edges of the lace, making it easier to join the blocks together.
