CREATING LACE INSERTS The lace inserts can be used to create unique Halloween decor. We created a decorative towel in this example. Follow these instructions to create one for yourself or as a “treat” for someone else! A B Start by placing your towel of choice on a flat surface, right side down. Fold one end, long ways, to the center point of towel as indicated with the white dotted line in the first picture. Then, fold the other side over top, lining up the edges as shown in second picture. C D Using your sewing machine, stitch the design in place around the entire outline of design. Stitch out the insert design using the same instructions as ornaments on page 8. Once the design is fully dry and pressed, you are ready to attach it to your towel. Keeping the towel folded in place, flip the towel right side up. Then place the lace insert design in your desired location. Pin in place. E F Next, flip the towel over to reveal the back side as shown. You are now finished with your towel.
