CREATING VASE DESIGN This set of instructions will show you how to stitch out the vase design and attach the petals using the center designs. A B Place the vase appliqué fabric over top of the tack down stitches, completely covering all sides. Tape in place if needed. C D Using scissors, trim away the excess fabric from the tack down stitches. E F The first step to attach the petals will be a placement stitch, showing you where to place the first petal. Note: this is the small solid circle inside the larger dotted circle. To begin stitching out the vase design, hoop a piece of Tear-Away stabilizer with your choice of fabric. Run the first machine step, which is the placement stitch for the vase appliqué fabric. The next machine step will be the tack down stitch, securing the vase appliqué fabric in place. Continue running the remaining steps of the vase design. You are now ready to attach the petal sets to the vase design. POP-UP PETALS | Mini Collection | 36
