Appliqué Technique Many of the designs are created using multiple pieces of appliqué fabric. This is the most widely used technique at Anita Goodesign. Using appliqués allowed us to add a design element to the hoop clock, that would not be achievable using traditional stitching techniques. Traditional appliqué is created in three easy steps and will be shown in the step-bystep instructions on pages 6-8. Folded Fabric Technique Our folded fabric technique is usually used in quilt blocks as borders or to create a background for a quilt block. You can also use the very same technique as we did in the HOOPCLOCK8 design of the collection. We will show you in the step-by-step instructions on pages 8-10. Your hoop clock will look like it was pieced together when completed! HIGHLIGHTED TECHNIQUES Radial Technique We introduced this innovative technique with our Radial Quilting 1,2,3 Special Edition in June 2016. This collection demonstrated how easy it is to create perfect radial quilts using a unique new folding system. Designs, HOOPCLOCK4 and HOOPCLOCK6, are created using the radial technique. We have provided you with instructions on pages 10-13 to create these designs too! HOOP CLOCKS | Projects Collection | 68
